Polish private railway carrier SKPL plans to launch a train to Kovel.
This was reported by the CFTS portal, citing the publication Rail Insider.
According to Poland’s Office of Rail Transport, on 1 October, SKPL applied to launch a commercial passenger rail transport service on the Warszawa Wschodnia - Dorohusk - Warszawa Wschodnia route.
This is part of the route from Warsaw to Kovel, where the carrier plans to launch a train.
The carrier has announced its readiness to provide new services from 15 December 2024 to 14 December 2029. The SKPL Cargo train will run to Kovel once a day.
It will depart from Warsaw at 15:05, arrive in Dorohusk via Lublin and Chełm at 18:30, and then continue to Kovel.
In the opposite direction, the train will depart from Dorohusk at 02:45 and arrive at Warszawa Wschodnia station at 06:15.
