Thanks to the launch of operation of the Road Fund, 3,800 kilometers of national and local roads were restored in 2018, when a record for the number of roads repaired was set in the country. President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko announced this on his Facebook page, the CFTS portal reports.

“In addition, we managed to implement several large-scale infrastructure projects. They include the launch of the Beskyd tunnel, the delivery of General Electric locomotives, and the launch of express trains to the Boryspil airport,” he wrote.

According to him, "these successes are a great incentive not to slow the pace of development of transport infrastructure in 2019."

As the CFTS portal reported earlier, the Ukrainian Railways joint stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia) modernized the largest number of commuter trains in the past 10 years in 2018.
