The PricewaterhouseCoopers international audit and consulting company (PwC) will audit the Ukrposhta state postal agency’s financial statements for the period of 2015-2016 based on international standards. The company won the relevant tender by offering a price of UAH 5.79 million, which is 42% lower than the price expected by the customer, the Ministry of Infrastructure announced.
The audit service was procured via the ProZorro electronic public procurement system.
The Ministry of Infrastructure expects the audit reports to bring the company to a new level of transparency and provide an opportunity for it to attract international funding.
Ukrposhta offers more than 50 kinds of services in almost 12,000 branches throughout Ukraine. The company employs 76,000 people, including 33,000 postmen and 13,000 postal service operators.
PwC provides audit, business consulting, and tax services. It is one of the so-called "Big Four" accounting firms, along with EY, Deloitte, and KPMG.
