The board chairman of the Ukrainian Railways joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia), Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, has said that Ukraine’s railway infrastructure has been attacked more than 3,700 times since the beginning of the war, the CFTS portal reports.
According to Pertsovskyi, these attacks include approximately 300 incidents classified as sabotage or terrorist acts, as well as over 400 incidents classified as violations of the laws and customs of war.
"Everything imaginable has been launched at our railway infrastructure: Kalibr missiles, Kh-22 and Kh-101 cruise missiles, KAB and FAB guided bombs, and S-300/S-400 systems. They are also hitting with artillery and Shahed drones. In certain areas, they are deliberately chasing rolling stock with drones," he said.
According to him, the enemy has become more active in particularly insidious ways. "One after another, we are finding devices designed to derail trains on rail tracks," he said.
