The Russians have attacked a freight train in the Chernihiv region with “suicide drones,” according to Nizhyn’s Mayor Oleksandr Kodola, the CFTS portal reports.
“Today, the enemy once again treacherously attacked our city. The attacks were directed at critical infrastructure and transport logistics facilities,” he said.
The enemy used 12 “Shahed” suicide drones to attack a freight train on the Nosivka–Nizhny railway.
As a result of the attack, tracks on the Nizhny–Kyiv railway line were damaged.
Rail transport services along this line are currently suspended. Trains from Kyiv are temporarily terminating at the Nosivka station.
In addition, the warehouse infrastructure of the Ukrainian Railways joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia) was damaged.
