The first ZAZ A10S buses have started transporting passengers in Mykolaiv.
The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) purchased the buses with funds from Denmark and delivered them to Mykolaiv as free international technical assistance, the CFTS portal reports, citing the AlltransUA website.
According to the report, Mykolaiv received a total of 12 buses, which were manufactured at the Zaporizhia Automobile Plant between December 2023 and March 2024, at an average cost of about 4.5 million UAH per bus.
This is the largest batch of ZAZ A10C buses ever received in Ukraine.
According to the report, despite the sale of over 100 such buses to Poland over the past 10 years, there has been minimal demand for them within Ukraine.
As the CFTS portal reported earlier, Mykolaiv has received the first three trolleybuses with an increased autonomous range of up to 20 kilometers under an agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The trolleybuses were manufactured by the company Polytekhnoservis (Brovary), which will deliver 31 trolleybuses to the city within 13 months.
