Vueling, a Spanish low-cost airline, performed its first flight between Kyiv and Paris on 5 December, the CFTS portal reports.
According to the Avianews publication, the airline will fly to the Boryspil airport from the Orly airport, which is the closest airport to the French capital.
The airline will operate two flights per week, on Tuesdays and Sundays.
Tickets for Kyiv-Paris and Paris-Kyiv scheduled for January are available at EUR 30 (one way) and EUR 85 (round trip).
The launch of the Kyiv-Paris flights by the Vueling low-cost airline became possible after Ukraine and the European Union signed an Open Skies agreement on October 12. As part of the first stage of the implementation of this agreement, EU and Ukrainian airlines will be able to operate unlimited numbers of flights on any route between EU countries and Ukraine.
Until now, flights between Ukraine and France were severely limited. Flights between the two countries were operated by only three airlines, namely Ukraine International Airlines (UIA), Air France, and the SkyUp airline.
