All the 10 trams were purchased with the support of the European Investment Bank.

The tenth low-floor tram Electron has started operation in Lviv.

This was announced by Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi, the CFTS portal reports.

According to him, all the trams were purchased with the support of the European Investment Bank.

"In 2020, Lviv received EUR 17.4 million for purchasing ten five-section trams. Today, all the 10 trams, which were made in Lviv, are already running in the city," he added.

Electron is a domestic concern, with production taking place in Ukraine. The T5L641 tram is a five-section, single-space car with air conditioning for the passenger compartment and the driver's cab and low vibration and noise levels. Its technical level meets modern European requirements for urban electric transport. The car's wide doors and low floor allow for faster boarding and alighting of passengers. The latter is convenient for passengers with children and people with reduced mobility.
