Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) will re-launch Kiev-Venice flights in the 2016 summer season following the discontinuation of the flights by the Wizz Air low-cost airline, avianews.com reports.
The flights will launch on 27 March 2016. According to the timetable, flights will depart from Kiev at 20:00 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays and return from Venice to Kiev at 04:50 the following day on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Prices of return tickets will start at UAH 5,400. Alternative flights from Kiev to Venice will involve changeovers at European airports and cost USD 210.
The Wizz Air Ukraine low-cost airline operated flights between Kiev and Venice for several years, but it discontinued the flights in April 2015. Wizz Air Ukraine flew to the Treviso airport, which is located 40.5 kilometers from the city. UIA will operate flights to the Marco Polo airport, which is located closer to Venice.
