The net profit of Ukraine International Airlines (UIA), the largest air carrier in Ukraine, increased by 27.6% to UAH 19.098 million in 2013, compared with 2012. The Interfax Ukraine news agency reported this, citing the airline company’s annual report obtained from the National Securities and Stock Market Commission’s information disclosure system.

The airline company’s net sales revenue increased by 60% to UAH 5.937 billion.

As reported, UIA increased passenger transportation by 64% to 4.6 million and doubled its fleet to 40 aircraft in 2013, compared with 2012.

Founded in 1992, UIA is the largest airline company in Ukraine. It is based at the Boryspil airport and has a fleet of 40 aircraft: five Embraer 190s, and 32 Boeing 737s (including four Boeing 737-900s), and three Boeing 767s.
