President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi has said that Ukraine is analyzing the conditions of the three Ukrainian naval vessels that Russia recently returned to the country, and it will certainly ask Russia to return the equipment that is missing in the Ukrainian naval vessels.

“I am very happy that our military boats are in place. As we promised, we have returned our sailors and our boats. What we saw is insufficient and some of the equipment … and weapons are missing. I have seen condition, and there will be an investigation to uncover all the details. We will definitely ask the Russian side to return everything that was there," Zelenskyi said at a news briefing in Ochakiv on Wednesday night after inspecting the three naval vessels that the Russian Federation returned to Ukraine after capturing them a year ago.

At the same time, Zelenskyi said that Ukraine would simultaneously repair these naval vessels.

As reported earlier, the Ukrainian naval vessels that Russia captured in November last year (the Nikopol and Berdiansk gunboats and the Yana Kapu tugboat) arrived in Ochakiv on Wednesday evening. Before the naval vessels arrived in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Naval Forces’ commander, Admiral Ihor Voronchenko, stated that “everything that could be removed was removed” from the naval vessels, including lamps and toilet bowls. All the navigation and radio equipment, particularly radars and American-made Harris radio equipment, were removed from the Berdiansk and Nikopol gunboats. The armament on the gunboats remained, but the ammunition was removed.
