The port capacity for simultaneous storage of grain will be doubled within five years. Infrastructure Minister Andrii Pyvovarskyi announced this during the signing of a memorandum between the Ilyichevsk port and the Soufflet Group (France), the CFTS correspondent reports.

According to Pyvovarskyi, the current capacity for simultaneous storage of grain at ports is 3 million tons. Transshipment of grain (considering the entire chain from production to export) is currently at its peak, he said.

The signing of the memorandum by the Soufflet Group demonstrates an intention to implement an investment project at the Ilyichevsk port over the next few years. Details of the project are not yet available.

The Soufflet Group is one of the world's largest producers of malt. In Ukraine, the Soufflet Group has invested in production of malt, as well as in storage of brewing barley and wheat.
