The Ukrainian Railways public joint-stock company will launch a test train on the Kyiv-Lviv-Przemysl route on 17-18 December, the parliamentary transport committee’s head Yaroslav Dubnevych announced on his Facebook page.
"Ukrainian Railways decided today (13 December): we will launch the first test train to Przemysl on Saturday-Sunday. It will be a technical journey, without passengers. If all goes well, a train with passengers will depart on 23-24 December," said Dubnevych.
He added that prices of train tickets would be competitive.
As reported earlier, Ukrainian Railways announced a decision to extend the Intercity+ high-speed train’s Kyiv-Lviv route to Przemysl (Poland) on 9 December. Ukrainian Railways’ Board Chairman confirmed these plans.
