The Ukrainian Seaports Authority has invited tenders for performance of operational dredging work in the waters and approach channels of the Mariupol and Berdiansk seaports. The relevant information has already been published in the ProZorro electronic public procurement system.

According to the Ukrainian Seaports Authority, two projects will be implemented after conclusion of contracts with the winners of the tenders: a project entitled "Maintenance of the Water Area and Approach Channels of the Mariupol Seaport to Preserve its Operational Characteristics through Dredging" and a project entitled "Operational Dredging of the Approach Channel and Internal Waters of the Berdiansk Seaport."

The expected cost of the dredging work at the Mariupol seaport is UAH 222.75 million (excluding VAT). The volume of dredging will be 1,645,000 cubic meters. The dredging work will increase the depth of the seaport’s approach channel to 9.15 meters and the depth of its internal waters to 9.75 meters.

The budget for the dredging work at the Berdiansk seaport is UAH 131.93 million (excluding VAT). The volume of the dredging work in the port will be 1,047,913 cubic meters. The dredging work is expected to increase the depth of the seaport’s approach channel to 8.6 meters and the depth of its internal waters to 8.4 meters.

According to the terms of the tenders, the dredging work should be performed before the end of this year.
