The Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine intends to increase the depth in the ports of Izmail and Reni to 7.2 meters. This was reported by the Acting Chairman of the Ukrainian Maritime Port Authority, Oleksiy Vostrykov.

USPA should extract about 350,000 cubic meters of soil and silt in Izmail and about 270,000 cubic meters in Reni.

"Currently, dredging works are being carried out in the water area of the Izmail port. By the end of the year, we plan to return to the passport depth of 7.2 meters. Within a week or two, dredging will also begin in the water area of the Reni port. In both ports, work is being carried out by the AMPU's own forces," Vostrykov explained.

The head of the USPA also noted that all berths, without exception, which can be used for loading grain, are currently in use in both ports.

We will remind you that previously the Ukrainian side restored the passport depths on the Ukrainian section of the Danube River and the declared draft of 6.5 m.
