A total of 649,000 tons of export grain were shipped from Ukrainian seaports from 1 to 7 December, compared with 534,000 tons the week before. The press service of the Administration of Seaports of Ukraine announced this in a statement.
According to the statement, 52,000 tons of wheat, 539,000 tons of maize, and 58,000 tons of barley were shipped.
The leading positions in terms of shipments were occupied by the Odessa seaport (167,000 tons), the Nibulon company (148,000 tons), and the TIS company (130,000 tons). In general, the total volume of transshipment through Black Sea ports was 628,000 tons and the total volume through ports of the Sea of Azov was 22,000 tons.
The largest volumes of Ukrainian grain were imported during this period by China (160,000 tons), Egypt (98,000 tons), and Spain (73,000 tons).
