The Ukrainian agricultural holding, Ukrlandfarming, and the Odessa regional administration have signed an agreement of intent on implementation of a project for construction of grain transshipment and oil processing facilities. The press service of the Odessa region’s Kominterna district administration announced this in a statement, the CFTS correspondent reports.
Among other things, the project provides for construction of an oil-extraction plant, port infrastructure for storage and transshipment of oils and grain, and other facilities.
The construction work will take place on more than 200 hectares on the coast of the Adzhalyk Estuary in the Kominterna district.
As the CFTS portal reported in June, Oleh Bakhmatiuk’s Ukrlandfarming and the Portinvest company (which manages the port business of Rinat Akmetov’s SCM group) plan to jointly implement a project at the Yuzhny port. They plan to build a multifunctional agricultural hub with a transshipment capacity of up to 10 million tons of grain and over 260,000 tons of oil per year.
