The acting general director of the State Railway Administration (Ukrzaliznytsia), Oleksandr Zavhorodnyi, considers it necessary to increase freight transport tariffs. Zavhorodnyi announced this at a news briefing on Thursday, the CFTS correspondent reports.
"I believe that increase of tariffs for cargo transportation should definitely happen," said Zavhorodnyi.
According to him, increase of freight transport tariffs will be objective. In addition, according to Zavhorodnyi, Ukrzaliznytsia currently loses large amounts of highly profitable cargo because there is no control over transportation of goods by road.
