The Ukrainian Railways public railway company (Ukrzaliznytsia) invited tenders for supply of 38 compartment cars via the ProZorro electronic public procurement system on February 24. Potential suppliers can submit tenders until April 3, inclusive.
According to Ukrzaliznytsia, the total expected cost of the railcars is UAH 875.520 million (including VAT).
In addition, tenders for provision of services involving overhaul and refurbishing of passenger railcars can be submitted to Ukrzaliznytsia until 3 April, inclusive. The relevant three tenders were invited on 24 February.
In total, 50 passenger railcars will be repaired in factories at the total expected cost of UAH 510.2 million.
In particular, Ukrzaliznytsia invited tenders for provision of services involving overhaul and refurbishing of 22 passenger railcars at the total cost of UAH 224.400 million (including VAT), overhaul and refurbishing of eight passenger railcars at the total cost of UAH 81.762 million (including VAT), and overhaul and refurbishing of 20 passenger railcars at the total cost of UAH 204 million (including VAT).
Overall, Ukrzaliznytsia plans to overhaul and refurbish 200 passenger railcars and add 50 new ones to its fleet in 2017.
