The Ukrainian Railways public joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia) has launched an additional Intercity+ high-speed train to Poland (from Kyiv to Przemysl) during the Easter holidays. The decision to launch the additional train was made because of an increase in demand from passengers, Ukrzaliznytsia said.
The Hyundai train under No. 707/708 will operate on 12, 13, 14, 17, and 18 April. It will depart from Kyiv at 12:24 and arrive in Przemysl at 19:03. It will make a stop in Lviv at 17:41. On the return trip, the train will depart at 20:20 and arrive in Kyiv at 05:23, stopping in Lviv at 23:22. All times local time.
Tickets from Kyiv to Przemysl cost approximately UAH 597.83 for first-class cars and UAH 422.62 for second-class cars; tickets from Lviv to Przemysl cost UAH 244.55 for first-class cars and UAH 178.49 for second-class cars.
Tickets for the train No. 707/708 will go on sale in the near future.
According to Ukrzaliznytsia’s Board Chairman Wojciech Balczun, the demand for high-speed trains to Poland is growing. "We are seeing that the number of people wishing to travel by rail to Europe is growing, especially now that there are prospects of visa-free travel to Europe. Therefore, we are already working actively on new international destinations for passengers," he said.
