The Ukrzaliznytsia public railway company launched the mobile version of its website for selling railway tickets on Thursday, 10 November.
"We are starting today. About 14:00. With a small but useful option that is useful to smartphone users planning to travel on Ukrzaliznytsia trains. We are launching a mobile version of our website for selling tickets booking.uz.gov.ua and moving toward a mobile application," Ukrzaliznytsia’s head Wojciech Balczun wrote on his Facebook page.
According to him, it will be more convenient for passengers to book tickets from their smartphones and pay with cards. In the future, Ukrzaliznytsia plans to develop a full-fledged app for smartphones.
Balczun noted that Ukrzaliznytsia currently sells more than one-third of its tickets over the internet, mostly through the booking.uz.gov.ua website.
