The first four ТЭ33АС locomotives manufactured by the General Electric company (United States) left the workshops of the Kryukov Railcar Building Works (Kremenchuk, Poltava region), where they were finalized, on December 12. They have been delivered to the Ukrainian Railways joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia).

The Kryukov Railcar Building Works announced this to the CFTS portal.

According to the CFTS portal’s sources, the TE33AC diesel locomotives arrived at the Melitopil locomotive depot in the evening on December 12. Ukrzaliznytsia did not deny this information.

The Kryukov Railcar Building Works informed the CFTS portal that, according to the available information, the first locomotive was scheduled to be commissioned in Melitopil on December 13.

The Kryukov Railcar Building Works is already preparing the next four diesel locomotives for delivery to the customer.

International consultants and Ukrzaliznytsia supervisory board member Christian Kuhn inspected the depot in Melitopil at the beginning of this week.

In addition to Melitopil, the General Electric locomotives will be serviced at the Mykolaiv depot.

Ukrzaliznytsia’s head Yevhen Kravtsov recently announced that eight Trident locomotives would begin operation on Ukrzaliznytsia’s rail network in November.
