The Ukrainian Railways Cargo Poland limited liability company has been registered in Poland, the CFTS portal reports, citing the Rail.insider publication.

The date of registration of the company is 30 June 2023. Its authorized capital is PLN 5,000 (approximately UAH 45,500).

The company is owned by the Ukrainian Railways joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia).

The company's office is in Warsaw. Mykhailo Plastun is a member of its board.

As reported earlier, Ukrzaliznytsia and Polish Railways (PKP S.A.) announced in July that they planned to establish a joint forwarding company for transporting goods from Ukraine to Poland and European countries. The president of the management board of PKP S. A., Krzysztof Mamiński, said at the time that the joint venture would be responsible for the transportation of goods from Ukraine, organization of the entire supply chain, and transportation of goods to the recipient.

It was stated that this could be one way to solve the problems that arose after Russia blocked Ukrainian ports and, consequently, the reorientation of exports to the West, particularly to Poland.
