Denise Brown, the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Ukraine, has said that the operation of the "grain agreement" (the Black Sea Grain Initiative) has not been blocked and that work on its extension is continuing.
The CFTS portal reported this, citing the Latifundist.
She emphasized that there are difficulties, but she added that the work to resolve them is continuing.
"The Black Sea Grain Initiative can achieve more. We cannot allow it to end and we will not allow it to end. We cannot afford it and neither can Ukraine," she said.
Brown stressed the importance of neutrality for the continuation of the dialogue with the Russian Federation.
She added that the initiative should be extended in March.
"We spent a lot of time resolving many issues in September and October before the extension of the initiative in November," she said.
