A new direct railcar will begin operating on the Vienna - Chop -Vienna route, which is an alternative route from Austria and Hungary to Ukraine, on 24 April.
The Ukrainian Railways joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia) announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.
It will depart from Vienna at 16:42 daily and from Budapest-Keleti at 19:19-19:40. It will arrive in Chop at 02:28.
After completion of border and customs controls, passengers will be able to continue their journeys on train No. 750 Uzhhorod - Kyiv, which will arrive in Chop at 05:19, Mukacheve at 06:48-06:53, Lviv at 11:00-11:23, and Kyiv at 18:30.
"Begin your journey back from Kyiv on train No. 749 Kyiv -Uzhhorod, which will depart from Kyiv daily at 13:16, Lviv at 19:59-20:25, and Mukacheve at 00:19-00:24 and arrive in Chop at 01:10," Ukrzaliznytsia said.
After completing border customs controls at the Chop railway station, passengers can continue their journey on the new Chop - Vienna direct railcar, which will depart daily from Chop at 03:28 and Budapest-Keleti at 08:20-08:40 and arrive in Vienna at 11:21 from 25 April.
A ticket from Chop to Vienna costs UAH 1,730.
