The Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air has decided to add a third Airbus A320 aircraft to its base at the Kyiv (Zhulyany) airport. The aircraft will arrive at the base in April 2018, the tenth year of the base’s operation in the Ukrainian capital.
"We will add a third aircraft in Kyiv, which means that we will offer 97% more seats in 2018," Wizz Air’s Chief Corporate Officer Owain Jones said at a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday.
According to the airline, the third aircraft will allow the airline to offer 1.5 million more seats.
As reported, the Hungarian airline plans to deliver a second Airbus A320 aircraft to the Zhulyany airport in August 2017.
Wizz Air has been operating continuously in Ukraine since 2008. The airline resumed operation in Lviv and launched flights to Wroclaw and Berlin from there in 2017.
