The traffic management center of the Kyivdorservis municipal road enterprise is building new traffic lights, 10 of which will go into operation in the near future. In total, the center plans to install about 300 new traffic lights within a few years, the Kyiv municipal administration announced in a statement.
"The plans for the next few years include construction of more than 300 new traffic lights," the statement said.
According to the Kyiv municipal administration, no new traffic lights were installed in Kyiv in the period of 2013-2014, 13 new traffic lights were installed in 2015, 28 were installed in 2016, and 34 are planned for installation in 2017.
As reported, an unusual traffic light that used LED strips was installed in Kyiv last autumn.
