A conference for potential investors, during which concession projects in the Olvia and Kherson seaports will be presented, began in Odesa on October 1. Forty-six Ukrainian and foreign companies, representatives of which attended the event, showed interest in the concession projects.

This was announced by Volodymyr Shemaev, the head of the strategic development department at the Ukrainian Seaports Authority (USPA), the CFTS portal reports.

“Forty-six companies from 11 countries, 9 parliamentarians, the minister of infrastructure, regional leaders, and representatives of the IFC/EBRD,” he said, listing some of the participants in the event.

As the organizers of the event stated previously, it was organized to acquaint investors with the government’s vision for development of Ukrainian seaports, with a special emphasis on concession and potential projects.

As reported earlier, the Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure announced on September 12 that it planned to organize concession tenders for the Olvia and Kherson commercial seaports. It was recently announced that there were 25 potential bidders in the concession tender.
