Four ships carrying grain left the ports of Greater Odesa on Wednesday, 28 September, under the Black Sea Grain Initiative that established a humanitarian maritime corridor to allow ships to export grain and other foodstuffs from Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.

The four ships left the Chornomorsk and Pivdennyi seaports with 115,000 tons of agricultural products destined for African, Asian, and European countries.

They include the Magnum Fortune ship with 51,000 tons of Ukrainian wheat destined for Bangladesh and the Almeray ship with 32,400 tons of corn destined for Libya.

"In almost two months since the operation of the grain corridor, 235 ships carrying 5.4 million tons of agricultural products destined for countries in Asia, Europe, and Africa have left Ukrainian ports," the statement said.
