The Ukrainian Railways joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia) has held 58 successful auctions for lease of its freight cars on the ProZorro auction platform, during which 515 freight cars were leased.
First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Maksym Nefedov announced this on Facebook, the CFTS reports.
The most popular lots during the auctions involved gondola cars (325). The lease rate for a freight car is about UAH 1,200 per day.
The lease rate for grain hoppers is more than UAH 3,800 per wagon. In total, 190 grain hoppers have been leased so far.
As the CFTS portal reported earlier, the lease rates of gondola cars have increased by 60% while the lease rates of grain carriers have increased four-fold during auctions on ProZorro, compared with the starting prices.
