The State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure’s head Mustafa Nayem has said that Russia has destroyed 157 bridges on Ukraine’s state roads since the beginning of its full-scale invasion.
Nayem was speaking at the conference "Building a New Ukraine: How to Ensure Sustainable Recovery" in London (Britain), the CFTS portal reports.
"Since the beginning of the war, the Recovery Agency has facilitated passage through 85 temporary crossings erected near every destroyed bridge to establish logistics with the affected regions quickly," the statement said.
According to him, facilities that are important for logistics are being rebuilt simultaneously.
"Last year, we worked on priority routes and repaired 41 structures, eight of which were destroyed by the war. We have already rebuilt and opened six bridges to traffic this year, and over 25 facilities are currently in operation," Nayem said.
