The Air Berlin airline is planning to launch a flight from Paderborn to Odesa, the Odesa region’s Governor Mikheil Saakashvili has announced.
"The Odesa airport has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Paderborn airport (central Germany), according to which direct flights will be launched between Paderborn and Odesa in 2017. The final phase of negotiations with the Air Berlin airline is underway," Saakashvili said on Facebook.
Air Berlin is the second largest airline in Germany. It has an annual transport volume of up to 30 million passengers and a fleet of 150 aircraft.
