TAS Dniprovagonmash LLC has presented an Ealmnos-type freight car designed for the 1435-mm track gauge at the InnoTrans 2024 international trade fair for transport technology in Berlin.
The company announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.
"The design of the Ealmnos freight car is distinguished by technical solutions that significantly reduce tare weight, increase freight capacity, and lower operating costs," the statement said.
According to the statement, the railcar's lightweight structure is one of its outstanding features. "By using advanced materials and cutting-edge technologies, we were able to reduce the weight of the freight car, allowing it to carry more freight without increasing the load on the railroad tracks," the company said.
Other features include increased strength and durability. The design of the freight car ensures longevity, even under heavy use. This was achieved through the use of high-quality materials and modern welding techniques.
"In addition, the reduced weight and innovative design allow us to lower maintenance and repair costs, as well as to reduce energy consumption during transportation," TAS Dniprovagonmash said.
