Investors from the United States are considering investing in construction of a concession highway between Lviv and Chop. Ukraine’s Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelian announced this at the roundtable on "The Current Concession Projects in the Ukrainian Seaport Sector," the CFTS portal reports.
In addition to ports, the minister discussed roads in his address at the roundtable. "I hope that we will broaden public-private partnership and concession projects on Ukrainian roads. By the way, a meeting with American investors who are considering the possibility of building an autobahn from Chop to Lviv took place today," Omelian said.
Earlier, the minister announced the construction of an autobahn between Lviv and Dubno. He also noted plans to build an autobahn from Lviv to Mukacheve, which should connect to the Hungarian M-03 motorway in the direction of Budapest. As the CFTS portal reported, the project for a new Lviv-Budapest highway passing through the Dyida border crossing is planned for implementation jointly with the World Bank.
As reported, Omelian recently said that at least two American companies intended to develop river navigation and build barges in Ukraine.
