The Antonov state aircraft manufacturing enterprise plans to produce at least 70 aircraft in the next five years. This was announced by the Ukroboronprom state defense concern, of which Antonov is part.

According to Ukroboronprom, marketing plans estimate the capacity of the world market of medium-sized transport aircraft at 900 in the next 15 years.

Antonov plans to supply 20 An-178 aircraft to customers in CIS countries, Asia, Africa, and Turkey within five years. Antonov also wants to return to the market of regional passenger aircraft.

The Antonov aircraft developer and its aircraft manufacturing enterprise became part of Ukroboronprom in April 2015. According to Ukroboronprom, the proportion of Russian components used in the manufacture of An-178 aircraft was 41% in in 2015, but the company has now switched to spare parts manufactured in other countries.

As reported, Antonov made a net profit of UAH 22.7 million in the first half of this year.
