The Antonov state aircraft manufacturing enterprise signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Saudi company Taqnia Aeronautics. The document confirms the intention of both contractors to supply 30 AN-178 aircrafts for Royal Saudi Air Force. The signing of the memorandum took place on December, 17, the Antonov press office reported.

Ali Mohammed Al-Ghamdi, CEO of Taqnia Aeronautics, noted that An-178 was chosen due to its technical characteristics. "Price and low operating costs are its considerable advantages compared with other aircrafts of this class," – he said.

Taqnia Aeronautics will promote the An-178 on the markets of other countries in the Near East. At the same time, Oleksadnr Kotsuba, the first vice-president of the Antonov enterprise, announced that the signing of a memorandum confirms the interest of potential customers for the An-178.
