The Azur Air Ukraine airline company has begun operating flights from Kharkiv to Barcelona. The first flight was performed on Wednesday, May 16, the Kharkiv airport authority informed the CFTS.
Flights between Kharkiv and Barcelona will be performed on Saturdays, using a Boeing 737-800 airplane with a capacity of 189 seats. The aircraft will depart from Barcelona at 09:10 and land in Kharkiv at 13:50. It will depart from Kharkiv at 15:00 and land in Barcelona at 17:50.
The Kharkiv-Barcelona route will be the airline’s second route between Ukraine and Spain. It currently flies to Barcelona from the Kyiv-Boryspil airport. This flight is also operated on Saturdays.
In addition to Azur Air Ukraine, the UIA and Vueling airlines operate flights to Barcelona. UIA flies from the Kyiv-Boryspil airport five times a week (all days except Tuesdays and Thursdays) while the Spanish low-cost airline flies from the Kyiv-Zhulyany airport twice a week (on Tuesdays and Saturdays).
UIA also flies from Boryspil to Madrid and from Ivano-Frankivsk to two other Spanish cities (Valencia and Alicante).
