The route of the Baku-Kharkiv train has been extended to Kyiv, the acting board chairman of the Ukrainian Railways public joint-stock company (Ukrzaliznytsia), Yevhen Kravtsov, has announced.
"The Baku-Kharkiv route will be extended to Kyiv. On its first trip on the new route, a train created by the Azerbaijan Railways will depart from Baku on April 21 and from the capital of Ukraine on April 23," Kravtsov wrote on his Facebook page.
According to him, Ukrzaliznytsia is constantly analyzing passenger traffic with the aim of offering passengers new routes.
"We will consider the possibility of increasing the frequency of the trains running to the capital of Azerbaijan if demand increases," Kravtsov said.
On the territory of Ukraine, the train will make stops in Kharkiv, Lubotyn, Poltava, Mirhorod, Lubny, and Hrebinky.
