The volume of passenger traffic through the Boryspil international airport was 5,157,848 in 2020.
This is 66% lower than the airport’s passenger volume of 15,260,281 in 2019, the CFTS portal reports, citing data from the airport.
Of these, the airport handled 323,690 passengers in December 2020 (69.3% fewer than it handled in December 2019).
The airport handled 3,172,170 passengers on regular flights (a 73% reduction) and 1,985,678 on non-regular flights (46% reduction) in 2020. In December, it handled 209,572 passengers on regular flights (74.2% reduction) and 114,118 on charter flights (52.9% reduction).
The number of transfer passengers handled by the airport reduced by 85.7% to 463,856 in 2020, compared with 2019. In December 2020, the airport handled 15,118 transit passengers or 91.3% fewer than the number in December 2019.
