The Boryspil international airport handled 1,751,277 passengers in the first four months of 2021, down 28% from 2,442,423 passengers in the same period in 2020.

The airport announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.

The airport handled 907,816 passengers on regular flights during the period from January to April this year, down 51% from 1,862 492 passengers during the same period last year.

It handled 843,461 passengers on unscheduled flights, up 45% from 579,931 passengers during the same period in 2020.

The number of transfer passengers handled by the airport reduced by 84.9% to 58,746, compared with 388,984 during the same period in 2020.

The share of transfer passengers reduced from 15.9% to 3.4% of the total number of passengers handled by the airport.

In April 2021, the Boryspil airport handled 544,866 passengers (including 274,812 passengers on scheduled flights and 270,054 on unscheduled flights). In April 2020, the airport handled 5,548 passengers.

As the CFTS portal reported, the Boryspil airport handled 1,206,411 passengers in the first three months of 2021.
