The Boryspil airport is fifth on the British-based Skytrax company’s ranking of the 10 best airports in Eastern Europe.
The Budapest airport was ranked as the best airport in Eastern Europe, the CFTS portal reports, citing information from the Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure. The next best airports in the region are Bucharest and Tallinn. The Tbilisi, Belgrade, Bratislava, Zagreb, and Sofia airports are ranked below the Boryspil airport.
However, Skytrax ranks no Ukrainian airport among the 100 best airports in the world. According to the Avianews publication, the Hamad Airport in Doha (Qatar) is ranked as the best airport in the world, followed by the Haneda Airport in Tokyo (Japan), the Changi Airport in Singapore, the Incheon Airport in Seoul (South Korea), and the Narita Airport in Tokyo (Japan).
Of the airports in former Soviet countries, the Baku airport is ranked highest at 51st.
As previously reported, the AirlineRatings agency recently announced its ranking of the best airlines in the world. Qatar Airways was ranked first, followed by Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines.
