The PKP Intercity railway company (Poland) is launching a new train from Warsaw to Chelm, and it is also extending its existing routes to Przemysl. This will enable passengers to transfer conveniently from Ukrainian trains traveling from Kyiv and Kovel, the CFTS reports.
According to Rynek Kolejowy, the new TLK Polesie train will be launched on this route on June 11. It will depart from Warsaw at 08:30 and arrive in Chelm at 12:30. On the return journey, it will depart from Chelm at 15:58 and arrive in Warsaw at 20:31. However, the final timetable of the Ukrainian Kovel - Chelm train is not yet available.
In addition, the route and timetable of the existing TLK Pomarańczarka train will change in June. It currently runs between Warsaw and Rzeszow. According to the new timetable, it will operate between Warsaw and Przemysl. It will depart from the Polish capital at 06:15 and arrive in Przemysl at 14:12. It will depart from Przemysl at 14:51 and arrive in Warsaw at 22:01. The Ukrainian high-speed train arrives in Przemysl at 13:25 and leaves at 14:26.
As reported, PKP Intercity announced in February that it intended to change the route of one of its trains to allow convenient connection with the Ukrainian train to Przemysl.
