A draft grant agreement between the governments of Ukraine and Switzerland that is aimed at improving and rehabilitating Ukraine’s railway infrastructure has been approved.

The government’s representative in the parliament Taras Melnychuk announced this, the CFTS portal reports.

"A draft grant agreement between the government of Ukraine and the government of the Swiss Confederation regarding the Emergency Support Project for the improvement and rehabilitation of Ukraine’s railway infrastructure has been approved," Melnychuk said.

He added that the draft agreement is aimed at raising on preferential terms the funds necessary for the supply of rail fastening systems for meeting Ukrainian Railways joint-stock company’s needs, which arose because of the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
