The parliament has approved the second reading of a draft law on postponement of introduction of fines for customs violations involving importation of foreign-registered vehicles until December 31, 2019, inclusive, the CFTS portal reports, citing the Interfax Ukraine news agency.

"The aim of the draft law is to postpone the introduction of stricter administrative sanctions for violation of the customs rules stipulated in articles 470 and 481 of the Ukrainian Customs Code," said Member of Parliament Oleksandr Kovalchuk.

As reported earlier, a directive that the Cabinet of Ministers issued in October stated that owners of foreign-registered vehicles should not be fined until 2020.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi signed a law postponing the introduction of fines for owners of foreign-registered vehicles for three months on September 20.
