A Polissya-class hydrofoil vessel belonging to the Nibulon company performed the first regular service through the Dniester Estuary on the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi - Ovidiopol route on 11 August.

The CFTS portal reported this, citing The Maritime Telegraph.

According to The Maritime Telegraph, the trip lasts 30 minutes and costs UAH 100. Four trips per day are planned.

The last time boats operated between the two banks of the Dniester Estuary was in 2004.

As reported earlier, the hydrofoil vessel performed a test trip on 6 August.

As the CFTS portal reported, the launch of the hydrofoil vessel between Ovidiopol and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi was necessary because the link between Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi and Odesa is now complicated due to the destruction of the road-rail bridge, which has repeatedly come under rocket attacks by the Russian occupiers.
