The Ministry of Infrastructure has announced a new competition for the post of general director of the Boryspil international airport. Minister of Infrastructure Andrii Pyvovarskyi signed the corresponding order on 11 September, the press service of the ministry said.

The competition will take place in accordance with the procedure for selecting the heads of enterprises that are critical to the national economy. Unsealing of documents and presentation of competition proposals will take place immediately at a meeting of a commission of the Ministry of Infrastructure. After the presentations, the commission will select 2-5 finalists and send their names to the Ministry of Economic Development & Trade’s committee for appointing the heads of enterprises that are of critical importance to the national economy, which will consider the finalists at a meeting and determine the winner.

The announcement of the competition, the qualification requirements for candidates, and materials for preparation of proposals will be published on the official website of the Ministry of Infrastructure within 10 days after approval of the qualification requirements by the Ministry of Economic Development & Trade’s committee for appointing the heads of enterprises that are of critical importance to the national economy.

Applications to participate in the competition will be accepted within 21 calendar days after publication of the advertisement.

As reported, the Ministry of Infrastructure last launched a competition for the post of general director of the Boryspil airport on 31 December 2014. However, the Dnepropetrovsk District Administrative Court prohibited selection of candidates for the post based on a lawsuit filed by the airport’s Deputy General Director Kyrylo Zvonarev. Later, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a new competition procedure for heads of enterprises that are of critical importance to the national economy, which include the largest airport in Ukraine.
