The Ministry of Infrastructure will attempt to organize allocation of UAH 50 million for financing reconstruction of the Khmelnytskyi airport, Deputy Infrastructure Minister Yurii Lavreniuk said during a working visit to the Khmelnytskyi region.
According to the Ministry of Infrastructure, Lavreniuk visited the Khmelnytskyi airport and said that the airport needed to be developed because the Khmelnytskyi region has a sufficiently rich resort zone that attracts tourists.
"Lavreniuk said that if the Khmelnytskyi airport is developed the Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure will take all measures to ensure that the Khmelnytskyi region receives UAH 50 million for restoration of the airport," the ministry said.
The ministry did not disclose the source of this money.
