The Kryukov Railcar Building Works (Poltava region) made a net profit of UAH 257.085 million in 2017, compared with a loss of more than UAH 130 million in 2016, according to preliminary data, the Interfax Ukraine news agency reports.

According to information about a general meeting of shareholders scheduled for April 19, which was published in the mass media, the company’s outstanding loss amounted to almost UAH 46 million as of early 2018, compared with UAH 303.05 million in early 2017.

A draft resolution of the meeting provides for using the company’s profit to cover the losses it made in previous years and not to pay dividends.

The company's long-term liabilities increased by 15% to UAH 393.43 million and the value of its assets reduced by 6.5% to UAH 3.048 billion last year. The company's equity capital amounted to UAH 2.194 billion as of the beginning of this year, including an authorized capital of UAH 86.01 million.

The Kryukov Railcar Building Works is the only company in the CIS with facilities for production of two types of railcars - passenger and freight cars. It also produces spare parts and trolleys for freight cars.

According to the latest data, the company’s sales volume increased 1.8-fold to UAH 3.6 billion in 2017, compared with 2016.
