The first auctions for lease of railcars belonging to the Ukrainian Railways company (Ukrzaliznytsia) have announced on the ProZorro electronic auction platform.
Ukrzaliznytsia’s Director of Economics and Finance Andrii Riazantsev announced this on his Facebook page, the CFTS portal reports.
In total, 14 fourteen lots have been offered on the platform. The lots consist of 5 and 10 railcars. The starting lease prices are UAH 819 per day for a gondola car and UAH 1,055 per day for a grain car.
Applications from potential bidders will be accepted until December 26. Bidding is scheduled to take place on December 27.
The railcars will be delivered to the auction winners from January 14 to January 18, 2019.
Ukrzaliznytsia’s head Yevhen Kravtsov stated in late November that refrigerated cars, boxcars, and certain groups of gondola cars would be the first to be auctioned. In addition, Kravtsov announced earlier that the first auction would take place in November.
