LOT, the Polish airline, will launch direct connection between Warsaw and Zaporizhzhia. It is the sixth Ukrainian airport to which Polish air carrier will perform flights, the CFTS reports.
Flights will be operated six times a week, except Thursdays. On Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays they will be performed in the afternoon. Departing from Warsaw at 11:00, landing in Zaporizhia at 14:00, the return flight at 14:40, returning to Warsaw at 15:55.
Flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays will be performed in the evening. The LOT's aircrafts will fly up from Warsaw at 14:20, landing in Zaporizhia at 17:20. They will start in return way at 18:00, returning time to Warsaw - at 19:15.
The price of one-way ticket starts from UAH 1969. The tickets is already available for purchasing. The connection will be served by aircrafts Embraer 170 (70 seats) and Embraer 175 (82 seats).
The schedule between Warsaw and Zaporizhzhia was planned to provide passengers from that region with the most convenient transfers to Western Europe and North America via LOT’s hub in Warsaw. Passengers need minimum 35 minutes of transfer time via Warsaw to continue their journey to western and central European destinations such as Brussels, Amsterdam, Paris, Geneva and Milan. It takes only 1 hour of transfer at Warsaw Chopin Airport to continue travel to LOT’s airports in the North America – to Chicago, New York JFK/EWR and Los Angeles in the USA or Toronto in Canada. Besides that short transfers will be offered to those travelling between Zaporizhzhia and Moscow Domodedovo, Budapest, Prague, Tallinn, Vilnius, Kaunas and Kosice.
LOT currently flies to five Ukrainian airports: Kyiv-Boryspil, Kyiv-Zhuliany, Lviv, Odesa and Kharkiv. The airline performs flights to these cities from its hub - Warsaw Chopin airport. Also LOT flies to Lviv from some regional Polish airports - Poznan and Bydgoszcz, and is condidering to launch flights to Olsztyn.
